Venture out from Manuel Antonio and head into the mountains—just 30 minutes away, but it feels like a whole different world. Hidden in the rainforest, Chorro Ecolodge is where jungle views, good vibes, and great wine come together.

Kick things off in our open-air elevated platform with a wine in hand and chocolate on the table. This isn’t your typical tasting—it’s interactive, a little playful, and full of “wait… try THIS together” moments. You’ll sip, taste, mix, match, and discover your favorite pairings (and probably change your mind a few times along the way).

We’ll explore how chocolate is like wine—shaped by the land, the climate, and the people behind it—while tasting our way through different cacao and varietals. Expect bold flavors, unexpected combos, and plenty of laughter as you compare notes and find your perfect match.

Then we take it local.

Head over to Doña Luz’s home, where things get hands-on in the best way. Learn to make fresh tortillas from scratch and turn them into gallos—simple, delicious, and full of Costa Rican soul. It’s the kind of experience that feels less like a tour and more like being welcomed into someone’s home (because you are).
